Privacy Policy

Effective August 24, 2026

WeldMapper (“WeldMapper,” “we,” “us”) provides weld documentation, QA/QC, and compliance software for industrial and mechanical construction contractors. This policy explains what information we collect through weldmapper.com and the WeldMapper application, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a demo, contact us, or use the ROI calculator, we collect the details you enter — typically your name, company, work email address, phone number, and job title, plus anything you include in a message.

Account information. If you create or are invited to a WeldMapper account, we collect your name, work email, password credentials, and the organization and role assigned to you.

Customer content. When you use the application, we store the project data you and your team enter or upload — weld records and weld maps, isometric and other drawings, welder qualification records (WPQs), welding procedure specifications (WPSs), material and heat number records, NDE and inspection results, punch list items, and related documents. This content belongs to your organization. We process it to provide the service and do not use it to train models or sell it.

Information collected automatically. Like most web services, we record log data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and timestamps. We also use cookies and similar technologies as described below.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, secure, and improve the WeldMapper application.
  • To respond to demo requests, sales enquiries, and support questions.
  • To authenticate users and administer organization accounts and permissions.
  • To generate the documents and reports you ask the product to produce.
  • To understand how the marketing site and product are used, in aggregate.
  • To send service messages, and — where permitted — relevant business communications.
  • To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to measure traffic and understand which pages and content are useful. This includes page views, scroll and click activity, demo video interactions, and form submissions on our marketing pages. These tools set cookies and process a truncated IP address and a randomly generated identifier. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

You can block cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser opt-out add-on. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site function.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • Service providers. We host the application and store data on Amazon Web Services in the United States, and use AWS services for transactional email delivery. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for analytics.
  • Integrations you enable. If your organization connects WeldMapper to Procore, project data is exchanged with that account at your direction and under Procore’s own privacy terms. This connection is optional and initiated by you.
  • Legal and safety. Where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the security of the service.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Business communications and opt-out

We may contact business contacts by email about WeldMapper, including outreach to professional addresses where permitted by applicable law. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by emailing us. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages about your account.

6. Data retention

We retain customer content for as long as your organization’s account is active, and afterwards only as needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Weld documentation is often kept for extended periods for code compliance and audit purposes; your organization controls that retention. Marketing and enquiry records are kept only as long as they remain relevant. You can ask us to delete data as described below.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls scoped to your organization, network isolation for our databases, and least-privilege credentials for internal systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

If you are a user of a customer’s WeldMapper account, your organization controls that account’s data. We will refer requests about that content to them and support them in responding.

To make a request, email sales@weldmapper.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

9. International users

WeldMapper is operated from the United States and our infrastructure is located there. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Children

WeldMapper is a business product and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.

12. Contact us
